in terms of peak horsepower numbers, there may only be a slight difference, but i believe that they allow for much faster spool... anyways, i don't have any numbers for you... sorry. how about if i rescind my previous statement and change it to "downpipes are THEORETICALLY WAY better!"... lol. and whether or not they are $400 better depends on how much money you have to blow. they ARE $400 better in my book, but then again, i'm crazy enough to buy a carbon fiber driveshaft when i could have an aluminum one that weighs the same but is 1/3 the price! lol... : Its obvious for the reasons previously stated that yes the downpipes will be better. But to make the statement "WAY" better, I wish someone could back up these claims. Tell me, are they $400 better than gutting the pre-cats (which are a free mod)??
: Thanks. : : even gutted, the precats are still restrictive because of the design of the openings and the sharp bends they take. downpipes have smoother bends and have a constant diameter all the way throughout to allow more flow. : : : I need to know if Downpipes are the same performance as gutted PRe-cats on a TT?
